Information was earlier gathered that Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju popularly known as Bobrisky, was arrested the evening of Wednesday in the Lekki axis of Lagos State by men of the Nigerian police force for reasons yet to be known at the time.
Recent information however leaked the reason behind the arrest. Public relations officer od Nigeria police force disclosed that the popular Nigerian crossdresser was arrested after a yet to be identified business woman wrote a petition to the police alleging that she was swindled of 30 million Naira by Bobrisky in a business deal gone sour.
Explaining this Mbah said, "He was arrested on the allegation by a businesswoman that he fraudulently collected N30m from her."
The Police PRO however disclosed that Bobrisky has been granted bail and is being investigated by the officers of the Nigerian police. On this he said, “He (Bobrisky) was arrested, but he has been granted bail; he is no longer in our custody but he is still under investigation."
The public relations officer further explained why Bobrisky was granted bail citing the ongoing lockdown as a reason, he however reiterated that the ongoing case is being investigated by men of the police force.
